Here is a selection from his two books: Never Eat Anything Bigger Than Your Head and Other Drawings, 1976, and Whack Your Porcupine, 1977, published by Workman Publishing Co. Inc. of New York City. According to Art Spiegelman, Kliban, now largely forgotten, pioneered the form of cartoon later popularized by Gary Larson and others, of a single panel with a third-person caption describing the action.
